Chavo（チャボ）｜映画監督・脚本家
福岡県北九州市生まれ。写真、漫画、経営者といった複数の経験を背景に持つ映画監督。
写真家として コニカミノルタ フォト・プレミオ（2005）、
漫画家として ちばてつや賞（2009）大賞 を受賞。
2023年より自主映画制作を始め、静寂・間・視覚的リズムを軸にした映像表現を特徴とする。
人間の脆さ、記憶、沈黙の重さといったテーマを、台詞に依存せず、空間と身体性で描くことを重視している。

Born in Kitakyushu, Fukuoka, Chavo is a filmmaker with a diverse background in photography, manga, and business.
He received the Konica Minolta Photo Premio (2005) as a photographer and the Grand Prize of the Chiba Tetsuya Award (2009) as a manga artist.
Since beginning independent filmmaking in 2023, his work has been characterized by the use of silence, temporal “ma,” and visual rhythm.
He focuses on themes such as human fragility, memory, and the weight of silence, emphasizing spatial composition and physical presence over dialogue.
